Introduction

The Dead Sea is world-renowned as a treatment centre for problem skin. Lying 400 metres below sea level, the extra depth of atmosphere filters out harmful ultra-violet rays to allow safe, prolonged sunbathing. Its mineral-rich waters confer unique benefits to the skin.

We import Dead Sea skincare products from two leading Israeli manufacturers. The 'Mineral Care' range is a long-established quality brand, while our 'Mineral Spa' own-label features special products for problem skin. These include four based on Mahonia Aquifolium extract, whose beneficial effects have been publicised in academic research and media articles.

Amongst our most popular lines are Dead Sea Bath Salts, which can be ordered in containers of up to 12 kilograms delivered directly to your door. Our body lotions, creams, shampoos, leave-on conditioners and other quality products have been sold now for ten years in the UK and worldwide.

Our range also contains some relatively simple products, such as Hydrophilic Oil and Collagel, which work purely on cosmetic principles to reduce scaling and flakiness.

Summary of Treatments

Treatment routines vary according to the extent of coverage.  Where there is widespread coverage, bathing in Dead Sea Salt baths is recommended together with thorough moisturising using Dead Sea Body Lotion, Dry Skin Balm or Skin Smoothing Cream.

For local patches on the body, such as elbows and knees, Intensive Skin Softener can be used. Follow up with Dry Skin Balm to deeply moisturise and leave skin feeling supple and comfortable.

An alternative for the body and limbs is to use our Mahonia Aquifolium Skin Therapy Balm and Body Lotion. These also contain herbal extracts, such as Burdock Root and Seabuckthorn, which help optimise the benefits to the skin.

For the scalp, use a Mineral Shampoo followed by our leave-on Mahonia Hair & Scalp Conditioner, which moisturises the scalp to leave it feeling comfortable, but not greasy.

Due to the natural variability in results that users obtain, we recommend trying a few, different items to increase the probability of success. Please note that adverse side-effects are almost unheard of with both Dead Sea and Mahonia products.
