Removing Scaliness

Scaliness of the skin and scalp can be made much less uncomfortable by simply removing the scaling in a non-traumatic manner. We are able to offer a very simple routine to achieve this.

The products that are used are Collagel and Purifying Hydrophilic Cleanser. Please click the product name for fuller descriptions.

Routine for the Body & Limbs

1. Hydrate the skin by applying Collagel Gel to affected patches. Wrap cling film around the patches to retain moisture. Leave on for half an hour. An alternative to this is to take a long bath, ideally using Dead Sea bath salts.
2. Add a few drops of Hydrophilic Cleanser on top of the gel and rub in to form a white emulsion. Massage into the skin with the fingertips. The Cleanser is a special blend of oils which will gradually dissolve and detach layers of scaling. Add further drops of Cleanser and continue massaging until you feel the scaliness has gone.
3. Rinse well with lukewarm water, then dry and moisturise the skin.

Routine for the Scalp

1. Apply plenty of Collagel to the scalp and cover with a shower cap to prevent the gel drying. Leave it on for half an hour. Meanwhile, occupy yourself by watching TV, reading a book etc.
2. Add a few drops of Hydrophilic Cleanser on top of the gel, taking care not to get it in your eyes. Gently massage with the fingertips to detach layers of scaling. Add further drops of Cleanser and continue massaging until you feel the scaliness has gone.
3. Rinse well with lukewarm water. You may choose afterwards to give the hair a quick wash, ideally with a Dead Sea shampoo.
4. Apply Leave in Scalp Balm as a leave-on conditioner to moisturise the scalp.
